Stage6 R/T HQ crankshaft bearing set incl. polymer cage oil seals
Especially for higher-performance engines, it's important to pay attention to the quality of crankshaft bearings and oil seals. Stage6 has updated its kits by carefully selecting the highest-quality bearings and matching them with the new Stage6 orange FKM oil seals—a top color, top performance.
The new oil seals are manufactured using the latest manufacturing technologies. They offer longer life than previous seals. The primary goal was to reduce friction to improve engine performance.
The bearings are available in two versions: with an elastic polymer cage for racing (less friction) and with a sturdy metal cage for everyday road use. The metal cage version is more robust than the polymer version, but is also more prone to wear due to the increased friction generated by the metal cage.
Both types are approved by SKF for a limiting speed of up to 20,000 rpm. A prerequisite for bearing longevity is adequate lubrication and correct installation of the bearings and crankshaft.
The advantages of the polymer-plastic version over metal cages are greater elasticity and reduced friction, resulting in increased power output. For this type of bearing, which we personally prefer for racing engines, good carburetor and ignition adjustment is important, as the bearings can only be permanently heated to a maximum of 120°C to avoid damaging the plastic cage.
Also keep in mind the installation direction: the semi-open cage must be installed towards the crankshaft cheek.
Be careful when installing bearings: The semi-open side must face the crankshaft ribs.
Attention! Install the polymer cage version only on engines without a catalytic converter!

- 2x SKF 6204-C4 crankshaft bearing 20x47x14mm polymer cage
- 1x FKM oil seal 20x42/43x8mm
- 1x FKM oil seal 20x30/34x6mm
