The record-breaking cylinder! It set new best times in the Italian Open Cup and broke the 6-second barrier in the Scooter Dragrace. With the overflow layout, Stage6 consistently adheres to GP standards and does without 7- or 8-port designs that reduce the cross-section. More is not always better.
The 47.6 mm bore complies with the regulations of most 70cc racing classes. The patented modular design allows very quick assembly to different engines via adapter plates. The seal between the adapter plate and the cylinder is ensured by a Viton® O-ring which eliminates the need to constantly clean and replace the sealing surface and gasket. Once the adapter plate has been mounted and balanced by means of the foot seals, there is no need to adjust it afterwards.
The CNC-milled adapter plate is bolted to the engine case and houses the cylinder via external studs. The R/T 70cc cylinder system does not require continuous studs, so the exhaust and overflow channel design is not subject to the restrictions of conventional racing cylinders, which still offer some reserves for tuning or porting.
Special attention was also paid to the cylinder thermal system. The CNC-milled combustion chamber cap is screwed five times. Each screw connection is thermally stabilized by its own cooling pocket. This eliminates the critical points at the stud bolts, which tend to cause the piston to jam.
By mounting the flange with three screws, the exhaust is firmly connected to the cylinder and the loss of fuel residues is reduced to a minimum. Suitable flanges for common racing exhaust systems are available, or an optional DIY kit can be used. Supplied with an exhaust flange suitable for the Stage6-R/T exhaust system and installation instructions.
Attention: In order to mount the cylinder, the engine block must be stripped to 56.7 mm in the footwell. In case of defect or loss of assembly material, ONLY use Stage6 spare parts, otherwise irreparable damage may occur! A crankshaft with 85 mm connecting rod and 12 mm piston pin is also required.

It is recommended to always use a new gasket set for the assembly of the cylinder and adapter plate. You can find it in the spare parts.
