Stage6 R/T single replacement cylinder (A) for the high-end Stage6 R/T 70cc cylinder kits .
The record-breaking cylinder! It set new best times in the Italian Open Cup and broke the 6-second barrier in the Scooter Drag Race. With its overflow layout, Stage6 consistently adheres to GP standards and does away with the 7- or 8-port designs that reduce cross-section. More isn't always better.
The 47.6 mm bore complies with the regulations of most 70cc racing classes. The patented modular design allows for very quick assembly on various engines using adapter plates. The seal between the adapter plate and the cylinder is ensured by a Viton® O-ring, eliminating the need to constantly clean and replace the sealing surface and gasket. Once the adapter plate has been mounted and balanced using the foot seals, there is no need for subsequent adjustments.
The CNC-milled adapter plate is bolted to the engine crankcase and houses the cylinder via external studs . The R/T 70cc cylinder system does not require continuous studs, so the exhaust and overflow port design is not subject to the restrictions of conventional racing cylinders, which still offer some room for tuning or porting.
Particular attention was also paid to the cylinder's thermal system. The CNC-milled combustion chamber cap is bolted five times. Each bolt is thermally stabilized by its own cooling pocket. This eliminated the critical points at the studs, which tend to cause piston sticking.
By mounting the flange with three screws, the exhaust is securely connected to the cylinder and fuel leakage is minimized. Suitable flanges for common racing exhaust systems are available, or an optional DIY kit is available. Supplied with an exhaust flange suitable for the Stage6 R/T exhaust system and installation instructions.
Please note: To install the cylinder, the engine block must be stripped to 56.7 mm in the footwell . If the assembly materials are defective or lost, use ONLY Stage6 spare parts, otherwise irreparable damage may occur! A crankshaft with an 85 mm connecting rod and a 12 mm piston pin is also required.
- The scope of delivery includes: 1 single cylinder without accessories (without head, piston, gasket set, screws or adapter plates, etc.)
We recommend always using a new gasket set for installing the cylinder and adapter plate. These can be found among the spare parts.
