DETAILS OF THE DERBI STAGE6 88CC CAST IRON KIT
The StreetRace cylinder features:
- 1x 88cc cast iron cylinder d.50mm, 5 transfers and oval exhaust (d.28mm),
- 1x Complete double-segment piston d.50 mm,
- 1x One-piece high compression aluminum head,
- 1x Gasket kit (base and cylinder head),
- Screws and bolts.
The 88 Stage 6 StreetRace kit is made of cast iron and perfectly combines reliability and performance. It will accompany you on your daily motorcycle trips.
With a displacement of 88cc thanks to its 50mm piston and its 45mm stroke / 90mm connecting rod, it must be fitted with a long-stroke crankshaft!
HOW TO GET THE MOST OUT OF YOUR DERBI E3 / E4 88 STAGE 6 CAST IRON CYLINDER?
To get the most out of your cast iron Derbi 88 kit after 2006 and therefore obtain maximum performance, we recommend that you combine it with at least: a 26 mm PWK carburetor ; a valvetrain such as the Stage6 Viton ; a racing exhaust such as the Stage6 Streetrace ; a reinforced clutch ; a reinforced long-stroke crankshaft and, why not, an internal rotor ignition such as the MVT Digital Direct .
This combination of components will be optimal for the daily use of your 50cc motorcycle such as Derbi Senda X-Treme, Gilera SMT, Aprilia SX50, Aprilia RS4, ...etc.
ADDITIONAL DATA OF THE 88 STREET RACE DERBI AFTER 2006:
- Since the outer mold is based on a replica of the original cylinder, it has the annotation "49cm3". But we want to reassure you: it is an 86-88cc.
- To mount an 88cc cylinder on a 90mm connecting rod, longer pins (M7x120mm ) must be used,
- The assembly of the cylinder kit is very simple and does not require any milling of the crankcase.
- As for running-in, a minimum of 300 km with a 3% oil mixture will ensure robustness and durability.
