VESPA GTS RACING BRAKE DISC FROM STAGE6
Stage6 is always looking to optimise its products for road and racing use, and this naturally also applies to the brakes sector.
When developing the Stage6 R/T MKII Piaggio Vespa 220 mm floating brake disc , the focus was on maximum reliability and maximum braking power, resulting in a high-end brake disc that is clearly suitable for racing use, but can of course also be used in everyday driving. Suitable for Vespa GTS, GTV, Gilera Runner VXR 180, Piaggio Typhoon 50 E4 and many more.
This disc, 100% made in Italy, has been completely developed and tested in real track conditions. It is made entirely of high quality martensitic steel. Thanks to the high carbon and chromium content, the main advantage of this type of steel is its excellent hardenability, which guarantees unsurpassed durability.
The heat treatment of the braking area is the same as that used for Superbikes, so that circuit riders in particular can brake consistently and powerfully throughout the race.
This model is floating, which of course looks very nice, but also has several advantages. With floating brake discs, the braking force is distributed approximately 30% more evenly than with normal discs, which results in better brake response and more even pad wear. The brake disc is equipped with orange anodized support rings made of 7075 T6 aluminum, which is comparable in strength to steel, but weighs much less.
