Stage6 R/T MK2 4-piston radial caliper
The new and improved MK2 version of the Stage6 R/T Racing brake caliper. Made in Germany engineering delivers maximum braking performance. Available in orange, black, and hard anodized (extra scratch-resistant).
MK2 Caliper Improvements
The main focus in developing the new Stage6 R/T MK2 caliper was on increasing stiffness and optimising smoothness . Furthermore, ease of use has been significantly improved thanks to the integration of a dedicated bleed screw , which makes bleeding the brakes child's play. This makes the bleeding process a breeze! Finally, as if that weren't enough, the new design features a 20% larger friction surface .
A closer look at the MK2 caliper reveals that Stage6 has developed a special return spring that returns the pistons to their resting position immediately after braking. The result is maximum wheel freedom under all circumstances.
The increased rigidity results in a well-defined pressure point. Whether on the road or the track, the caliper ensures even safer handling and braking can be delayed until the last moment.
The caliper is a perfect match for Stage6 R/T S6-1400401 / S61400400 brake master cylinders, but can also be used with other aftermarket master cylinders or the original master cylinder. The radial mounting of the brake caliper allows for easy and stable installation!
Note: When combined with older caliper adapters, some light machining of the adapter may be required due to the new caliper shape.
Technical specifications Stage6 MK2 4-piston caliper:
- 4-piston radial brake caliper CNC machined from high-strength 6061 aluminum.
- 25mm CNC Stainless Steel Brake Pistons
- 20% more friction surface on the brake pads compared to MK1
- Special piston return spring for maximum wheel smoothness
- Center locking bolt (Torx 27) for C-clip locking brake pads
- Dedicated bleed screw on the back of the caliper for easy bleeding
- M8 bolts, 82 mm hole spacing
The brake caliper comes with street pads. However, we recommend using racing pads (sintered metal or ceramic) for maximum braking performance. The difference compared to the optional pads is significant: You can expect an increase in braking power of up to 50% !
Here are the corresponding brake pads:
- Sintered metal brake pads S6-1026002
- Ceramic brake pads S6-1026003
- Organic brake pads S6-1026001
Our advice: Once bleeding is complete, secure the brake lever with a cable tie and pressurize the system for 1-2 hours, or simply overnight. This will allow you to perfect the bleeding process and significantly improve the pressure point.
