Stage6 R/T Carburetor Type PWK 21 mm - 34 mm
The KOSO Stage6 R/T PWK flat-slide carburetor is specially designed for Stage6. This racing carburetor is designed for powerful 50cc - 100cc racing and high-end setups. The polished and machined intake duct ensures improved airflow and thus improved engine response. Naturally, this PWK carburetor also features a Powerjet jet. The black racing finish gives the carburetor a particularly elegant look.
We recommend combining it with a Stage6 double-layer air filter or using an intake funnel.
What is a PWK racing carburetor?
PWK carburetors are among the high-end carburetors, characterized by exceptional performance and easy adjustment and tuning. The idle, part-load, and full-load ranges are clearly separated, ensuring precise operation. Even in their standard configuration, these carburetors deliver impressive results, which means that it's generally not necessary to replace the needle or the mixture tube. This is in contrast to some competing (Italian) products, where it can be necessary to replace a large number of needles and mixture tubes.
However, if you're interested in fine-tuning, you can further enrich the mixture at full load using a Powerjet nozzle. This allows for a further increase in power in the higher rev range. Alternatively, this function can also be deactivated.
PWK carburetor dimensions
Because PWK carburetors were originally developed for off-road use, they are significantly larger than conventional scooter or moped carburetors. This requires the use of larger intake systems and air filters with correspondingly wide connections. Enough space must be made available. The external dimensions are nearly identical for all PWK series carburetors, but the connection widths for the intake rubber and air filter vary depending on the carburetor cross-section. All components, such as carburetor jets, needles, and adjustment screws, are compatible with each other within the PWK series.

What size carburetor do I need?
For 70cc models, from Sport to Racing, we recommend the 24mm PWK carburetor, which almost always works very well. We recommend the smaller PWK carburetors only for 50cc setups. For high-end 70cc-80cc setups, 28mm PWK carburetors are ideal. For 80cc-100cc setups, 30mm-34mm PWKs are a perfect fit.
Please note :
When installing this type of carburetor, the original intake system can no longer be used; a larger intake system with a diameter of 35mm or 40mm is required. Additionally, the original throttle cable and air filter must be replaced, and a non-vacuum fuel tap must be used. The carburetor does not have an oil connection and must be operated with fuel mixture lubrication. If you have difficulty operating the choke, we recommend switching to a cable choke. A cable choke adapter (for PWK) and a choke button are required.
